Welcome to IPSA!
About IPSA
IPSA is a 5-year graduate school in Paris, specializing in aeronautical and space systems.

There are 3 years of the Bachelor Cycle and 2 years of the Master Cycle. With 800 students at IPSA, there are actually more than 120 graduates per year.
At IPSA, you will acquire a knowledge in sciences and an effective approach of engineering work (aeronautics, engines, mechanics, IT Systems, embedded systems, mechatronics and electronics). At the same time, you will strengthen your communication skills (human resources, French and English and quality management) while keeping in close contact with the French industrial environment through required internships and industrial projects.
During the five years of graduate education at IPSA, internships are highly encouraged in the first two years, while they are required in the final two years.
A has around 100 professors who are largely drawn (70%) from positions in the industrial field. There are ten laboratories at IPSA, comprised of research, electronics, and mechanics laboratories.
A Parisian Location…
IPSA, you will study on a campus located just outside of Paris. You will enjoy the benefits of a small suburb, plus the advantages of being 20 minutes away from Paris, the City of Lights. Studying at IPSA, you will gain some insight into the cultural differences that you may face someday as engineers working in multinational companies. Challenges are numerous and study intense, but there's always time for sightseeing.

City of Paris offers an incomparable wealth of history, art, architecture, literature, philosophy, music and dance to the students who choose to make it their home abroad. The richness of cultural life there extends from opera to jazz clubs, through beautiful public parks to museums and cafés.
Hemingway wrote of the "moveable feast" that is Paris. Each student will find the places and people that bring that definition to life. Most students agree that their most disappointing experience in Paris was having to leave.
International at IPSA
IPSA actively encourages student exchange and international partnerships. Students are also encouraged to spend their internship periods abroad. Competence in the English language is compulsory and all students prepare to take the TOEIC Exam which is offered free to Erasmus students.
IPSA also proposes free intensive French courses for International exchange students, one week of intensive classes at the beginning of the year and weekly classes throughout the first semester. Students also have the option to study Chinese and Russian language.
Constructed as a synthesis of cultures associated with the high level of engineering courses, the option will give students an international perspective, useful for the knowledge and experience of future managers and engineers.
Compulsory semester abroad presentation
In a quality initiative, IPSA has progressively integrated a compulsory semester abroad into the programme of all the students. In 2011, on a voluntary basis, 48 students 3rd year students attended a semester in two establishments abroad: 18 students at the Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic and 30 at NCKU in Tainan, Taiwan. In 2012, 100% of students of the 3rd year (135) attended their second semester in a foreign university: 48 in Taiwan, 51 in the Czech Republic (of whom 32 benefited from an ERASMUS grant) and 36 in the United States at the University of Arizona. New destinations are being studied for successive years.
At the beginning of the third year, the students classify establishments presented in order of preference. According to the merit of the student and the number of places proposed by universities, the students obtain either their first, second or third choice.
The International office then accompanies students with all the administrative procedures necessary for their departure: organizing their trip, visa applications, reserving accommodation, the subscription of an insurance etc…
Once abroad, the students will attend classes of the IPSA program delivered in English by local professors. According to the host university, this program will be completed with a language course (English, Chinese, Czech…). At the end of the semester, which takes place between February and June, the students will take exams. Success in these exams will condition their passage to the next year.
There are no additional tuition fees for the semester abroad, only the expenses of the mobility are met by the students. These expenses include the cost of travel, the visa application, a travel and medical insurance, their accommodation and food. According to the destinations, the amount of these mobility expenses can differ.
The school makes every effort to propose at least one very affordable destination. This is the case of the option in the Czech Republic.
